The time has finally come again. We are pleased to once again offer you version 2.5.5 of our free GIS software with installation routines for Windows (64 and 32 bit), macOS, and Linux—completely free of charge, as always.
Spatial Commander is based on our proven GDV-MapBuilder technology and can be customized and extended to meet specific professional requirements.
GDV-MapBuilder already offers many functional extension options for this purpose. If you are interested in a version of Spatial Commander tailored to your individual needs—which you can use license-free on as many workstations in your organization as you like—we would be happy to provide you with advice and support.
Highlights of the new version:
- As a first milestone in the support of GeoPackage files, these can now be imported and displayed. Spatial Commander supports tables, vector, and raster layers from a GeoPackage. Functionality for saving to the GeoPackage format will follow in the future.
- Object attributes displayed using the info tool can now be exported. Geometry is also exported in WKT format.
- In the attribute table's field calculator, text in columns or fields can now be modified using a “find and replace” function.
- Display of raster data in JP2K format is now supported.
